Ari (they/them) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience. In addition to providing therapy to clients, Ari is passionate about collaborative practice and provides trauma-informed supervision and consultation to both rostered and licensed clinicians. Ari is an active member of ISST-D and always engaged in continuing education.
Ari completed their MA in Community Mental Health Counseling at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, in 2015. Their early training included 5 years of study in relational therapy at the Women’s Therapy Center, and 3 years in school-based services in Oakland and Pittsburg, CA, with elementary and middle school aged students.
Ari works in a strengths-based and person-centered style, and specializes in gender affirming care and treatment of complex and relational trauma for clients of all ages and genders. They bring warmth and humor to their work, which is rooted in a relational feminist, anti-oppressive approach. In this style, a genuine relationship between client and therapist is central to the therapeutic process. They bring strong influences from attachment theory, relational-cultural theory, and liberation psychology. They often incorporate elements of art, play, and mindfulness (for kids and adults, too!).
When not working, Ari can usually be found in the garden or on trails, observing birds and plants, usually in the company of one or more dogs.
Ari works out of the Burlington office and accepts most insurance types, including Medicaid and Medicare as well as private pay/sliding scale.
