Ayla Malone
Graduate Student
Currently not accepting new clients.
Ayla (she/they) is a pre-licensed therapist currently completing her graduate internship at Vermont Center for Resiliency while earning her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University.
Ayla welcomes adult and older adolescent clients of all genders, races, and backgrounds, and is especially passionate about working with folks in the LGBTQ+ community. She is committed to ongoing social justice practices, and is a firm believer that the client is the true expert in their lived experiences.
Ayla’s approach to therapy is rooted in psychodynamic theory, as well as feminist and relational-cultural theories. They work with clients to create a trusting and safe environment that is free of judgement and full of curiosity. They hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Expressive Arts Therapy, and are always open to exploring creative and arts-based therapeutic interventions. They are also now welcoming individuals seeking counseling for sleep-related issues and insomnia.
Outside of the therapy space, Ayla enjoys hiking, skiing, gardening, painting, and spending time with her two cats.
Ayla works under supervision at the Burlington Waterfront office.
