Beth Engelberth, LCMHC

Clinician

Beth (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Vermont. She earned her Masters in Clinical Psychology at St. Michael's College of Vermont in 2009, and has a wide range of experience working with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, and working with both perpetrators and victims of domestic violence. Beth works with adults, and now specializes in working with those in the helping professions and those in high-pressure leadership positions.

Beth has extensive experience supporting those in the helping professions, including first responders, medical professionals, mental health clinicians, veterinarians, veterinarian technicians. She believes these professionals would benefit from help and support. Beth is familiar with the often intense dynamics and pressures of these professions. She understands they also experience trauma, depression, anxiety, burnout, and relationship issues both personally and professionally. Beth appreciates the hectic schedules these professions have and does her best to be flexible with her schedule in order to accommodate her clients.

Beth also specializes in working with executives and those in high level leadership positions. The demands that leaders face are intense, all consuming, and at times make it difficult to turn your mindoff at the end of the day. Beth is familiar with how the pressures of these jobs can play a role in anxiety, depression, burnout, decision fatigue, and relationship issues both at the office and in one's personal life.

Beth has a client-centered approach to therapy and believes it is important to focus on the whole person in addition to the issues the client brings into the therapy office. She values helping each person gain greater awareness of themselves and their world, enabling them to make more satisfying and meaningful choices in their life. She focuses on her clients uniqueness and strengths to help foster a stronger sense of self and overall empowerment.

Beth knows that one of the hardest and bravest things a person can do is to enter therapy. She uses humor and a gentle direct approach to foster a trusting and safe space for her clients.

Beth accepts most insurances and clients on a self-pay basis.
