Cheryl has years of experience working with clients aged 7-65 with life challenges. Cheryl brings warmth and unconditional positive regard to her sessions, providing a safe and nurturing environment to collaborate with clients and work towards accomplishing their goals. She looks forward to helping individuals develop skills for managing stress and the challenges life brings, as well as helping families strengthen their relationships. Currently, Cheryl specializes in working with adults, young adults, couples, and families. She is skilled in anger management, anxiety conditions, adjustment disorders, and depression. A newer niche Cheryl has discovered is working with neurotypical adults and individuals who have had concussions with residual cognitive deficits.

Cheryl uses a client-centered, strength-based approach to therapy, utilizing treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, family and systems therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. As the director of a nonprofit Christian organization, Cheryl incorporates pastoral counseling for clients seeking Christian counseling. In addition to Cheryl’s Master of Science in Psychology and Master of Social Work, Clinical Mental Health specialization, education, Cheryl has a biblical counseling educational background.

 When Cheryl is not in the office, she loves to spend time outdoors with her pet turkeys and chickens, trail running, taking strength training classes, and traveling internationally to new places for adventure and cultural learning. Two words that describe Cheryl are animal-lover and adventurer.
