Elizabeth (Beth) Diamond (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor (LADC) practicing in Vermont. She received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Vermont University in Johnson, VT. She takes a client-centered approach to therapy, viewing each person as the expert of their own experiences, and through the therapeutic relationship, she hopes to guide and gently challenge clients through their difficulties and towards their most authentic selves.
She has experience in community mental health settings as has worked with clients of all ages. Beth currently sees clients age 12 and up, including adults, pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults.
Beth utilizes talk therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, CBT, and art therapy, matching the approach to the client. Beth specializes in trauma treatment, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges, identity, and gender dysphoria.
She has experience with individuals who have a history of childhood trauma, survivors of sexual assault and abusive relationships, as well as navigating issues of identity, grief and change at any stage of life, but most notably with adolescents, young adults, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. She also has experience working with individuals with substance use challenges as well as individuals on the Autism Spectrum with co-occurring PTSD.
When she is not in the office, Beth enjoys sewing, writing, listening to audiobooks while cooking, taking way too many pictures while on nature walks, and traveling with her husband.
Beth can see clients in-person at our Shelburne office or over Telehealth.
Beth accepts most insurances and clients on a self-pay basis.
