Geneviève (she/her) is a pre-licensed therapist currently completing her graduate internship at Vermont Center for Resiliency while earning her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Vermont State University.
She has a strong interest in evidence-based approaches to trauma recovery, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Somatic Therapy, and related modalities.
She is the Executive Director of The Safety Team, a nonprofit dedicated to violence prevention and trauma recovery. As a senior instructor and trainer in Empowerment Self-Defense (ESD) and Therapeutic ESD, Genie supports survivors of interpersonal and sexual violence in reclaiming agency, safety, and confidence. Geneviève is also a black belt in Kempo Jujitsu, a childbirth educator, and a certified massage therapist specializing in prenatal and postnatal care.
Outside of her professional roles, Geneviève enjoys staying active and spending time with her family and dogs.
Genie works under supervision at the Burlington Waterfront office.
