Geneviève Henry (she/her) is a rostered psychotherapist-in-training, currently pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Vermont State University while completing her practicum and internship at the Vermont Center for Resiliency.
She has a strong interest in evidence-based approaches to trauma recovery, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and related modalities.
She is the Executive Director of The Safety Team, a nonprofit dedicated to violence prevention and trauma recovery. As a senior instructor and trainer in Empowerment Self-Defense (ESD) and Therapeutic ESD, she supports survivors of interpersonal and sexual violence in reclaiming agency, safety, and confidence. Geneviève is also a black belt in Kempo Jujitsu and a certified massage therapist specializing in prenatal and postnatal care.
Outside of her professional roles, Geneviève enjoys staying active and spending time with her family and dogs.
