Jen (she/her) holds a steady space for you to navigate immediate challenges while addressing the deeper questions that inform your sense of self and long-term fulfillment. A rostered psychotherapist in Vermont with an MSW from Boston University, she integrates 16 years of experience as a professor and writer exploring art, embodiment and social change. With warmth, curiosity and humor, Jen invites you into a safe therapeutic alliance where you can show up exactly as you are and feel fully seen and heard.
Most recently, Jen provided individual and group therapy within an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for women with complex trauma. Her practice draws from a diverse toolkit that includes: psychodynamic and narrative therapies; cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT); EMDR; mindfulness and somatics. Rooted in anti-oppressive, anti-racist, feminist, neuro- and LGBTQIA+ affirming principles, Jen partners with you to honor your authentic self while moving within and resisting the systemic forces that shape your life.
Using a person-centered approach, Jen helps you channel your inner strengths and creativity into meaningful growth. She especially welcomes emerging adults and adults addressing experiences such as: trauma/ PTSD; life transitions (career, college adjustment & relationship changes); family and parenting; grief and loss; reproductive mental health (fertility/ infertility, perinatal, pregnancy & postpartum support); anxiety; depression; and identity exploration.
A former New Yorker who now finds balance on Vermont’s trails, Jen loves exploring the outdoors on skis, by bike, and with her therapy dog, Tula. She brings that same sense of groundedness to her practice, meeting clients at the Shelburne and Burlington/ waterfront offices, or via telehealth. Jen currently accepts Vermont Medicaid, BCBS, Cigna, MVP, and self-pay.
