Kate prioritizes building a genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationship grounded in respect, warmth, and empowerment. She is committed to helping clients strengthen self-efficacy, foster autonomy, and connect with supportive resources in their lives and does so through a lens informed by anti-racism and feminism.

Kate brings meaningful experience from her practicum work with individuals experiencing extreme states and psychosis, her externship with MindWell, and her former role as a Resident Director at Saint Michael’s College. In addition to supporting individuals through complex developmental, academic, and personal challenges, the roles she's held have contributed to her skill in supporting individuals through both daily and existential quandaries. Her work has strengthened her ability to meet clients with steadiness, empathy, and a keen understanding of the pressures and stresses associated with navigating life's challenges and transitions.

Her therapeutic orientation is rooted in a person-centered framework and thoughtfully integrates skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing. Kate works with clients to clarify their values, identify meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies to support growth and resilience.
