Leslie approaches therapy as a collaborative journey, partnering with clients to develop strategies that honor their values, goals, and lived experiences. She supports clients in connecting with their own wisdom and resilience as a foundation for change. Her work integrates solution-focused therapy, which emphasizes practical steps toward the future without requiring a deep retelling of the past. She also draws on relational-cultural theory, which sees healing as emerging through authentic, growth-fostering relationships.
Before pursuing social work, Leslie spent seven years teaching English as a Second Language to children and adults in South Korea. During this time, she discovered a passion for teaching and group work, along with a growing interest in leadership. The creativity she brought to the classroom and the adaptability she developed while living abroad continue to inform her practice.
Leslie holds a Master of Social Work from the University of New England and a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science from the University of Central Florida. She also earned an A.S. in Biotechnology from Palm Beach State College, driven by an interest in the interplay between food, mood, and microbes and their impact on overall well-being.
Leslie’s clinical training includes caregiver support through the UVM Medical Center’s Dementia Family Caregiver Center, where she co-facilitated a therapeutic intervention group for care partners. She also participated in a supervised, simulation-based training model at the University of New England, practicing therapeutic modalities—including ACT, motivational interviewing, CBT, and solution-focused brief therapy—with simulated patients. Additionally, Leslie completed a practicum in student support services at an international school in Busan, South Korea, working one-on-one with middle and high school students and delivering classroom lessons in Social Emotional Learning and Comprehensive Sex Education.
Leslie currently sees clients in a primary care setting as part of the Blueprint for Health embedded mental health program and will begin seeing clients at the Vermont Center for Resiliency in 2026. She feels grateful to be part of a collaborative care team that values holistic, person-centered support.
