Bhuttu (he/him/his pronouns) is a trauma-focused clinician and self-identifies as a member of the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, new American and people with disabilities communities. He has been a lifelong athlete and also has been in recovery for several years.

Bhuttu was introduced to the field of counseling during his work in Chicago as a disability rights worker and peer advocate. He was introduced to the Rogerian concept of person-centered planning during this work and subsequently developed a strong interest in psychodynamic, humanistic and developmental concepts. Along with these, he uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Emotionally-Focused Therapy in his work to bring about emotional regulation and distress tolerance, and to address affect phobias. He believes in the intrinsic ability of all humans to self-identify their deepest, natural desires, and to face those old barriers that have prevented them from achieving emotional wellness.

Bhuttu lives in Burlington, is an avid traveler, lover of the disciplines of Muay Thai and rugby, and is a devoted dad to his furry children.

Bhuttu sees folks out of the Winooski office.

Bhuttu is currently able to accept Vermont Medicaid, BCBS, CBA, Cigna, and MVP insurance.
